Have you ever thought about why people love music? Not any particular genre, just music in general? We have radios everywhere we go. Think about it, we wake up and play music, we get into the car on your way to work or school and the radio is on, walk into the office, someone has music playing or maybe its you that puts on a great CD. These days we have cellphones that we can set to ring a favorite song of ours instead of the old school phone sound. Its something that has great power over us and somehow has some sort of hold over us don't you think?

Well I know that we were made in the image of God and He loves worship and praise. That's why we do it and thats why we love music. The only problem is the guy that was head worshiper messed up - pride got in the way - and well now he's famously known as satan. Take a look at some of the music we are listening to these days? isn't it so full of pride? Hip hop more specifically? All I ever here is I'm this and I'm that, I've got that and you don't. Now I know this is sensitive for a lot of people, I know because I love hip hop the same. But one day I had a good look at the the picture from an out-side perspective and realized that hold on - why is the music so angry these days? why are we being encouraged to love and worship money? Just because you have not made a statue out of money, does not mean that you have not made it your god. If you will do anything for money even if it means pushing people down just so you can rise, and are selfish with it, then you definitely worship money. Kids are singing songs that talk about hate and being numb and suicide. That can't be right!

Now we have artists like Lecrea, Trip Lee, Tedashii, J Moss, Kirk Franklin, Da Truth, Cross Movement, The Ambassador, Grits...the list goes on who rep got the correct memo! We as human beings were made in the likeness of God as it is said in Genesis 1:26. God does not expect us to worship the very things that He gave us dominion over. Think of it like this, if you gave a child a chocolate, and you know she loves candy, but all she does is stare at the chocolate continuously. Her entire life seems to be revolving around this things and she will do anything for it, and maybe even rob someone just to get another one. Now wouldn't you have expected her to just thank you for it, eat it, and if she wanted another one, to simply ask? But what has she gone and done now? That's what we are like when it has come to the blessings that God gave is on earth. 

The holy hip hop guys as i mentioned, got the memo. They are worshiping and praising Jesus Christ in their lyrics. They are not just making music, they are moving the very heart of God. No hate, no lies, no pain. Just praise and worship. If you haven't heard any of their music, I think you should give it a try and see where God takes you. If you aren't into hip hop and are more of a rocker - Jesus Culture, Newsong, and Hillsong are for you. If you are soul and R & B loving - J Moss, Bebe and Cece Winans, 21:03, Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary and many others. Once I started seeking, I found. And i'm still seeking more. Don't let the enemy fool you. He says' he's your friend, but he;s just using you. Wake up! Death and the grave were not meant for you. Jesus, has always loved you and deep down inside you know what i say is true.

You know I cant get enough of what God does. I have a thing for tigers and have down loaded some pictures that I want to share with you. I see the majesty of God when I look at this beast. And yet it reaks and gentleness about it when it takes care of its children. Thats how our Father is. Gentle, beautiful, strong, and able. Wow, praise be to the Father.

I Do

Did you ever think that we are actually the people that make up the full and complete woman or bride of Christ? That Jesus is so in love with His fiance and cannot wait for that big day when all heavens rejoice at the wedding ceremony? If you look at the way that a man whom has found the woman that his heart beats for, treats her you will see just a portion of how much Jesus loves us - the bride. He wants to be the one that provides for her, that keeps her warm at night, that makes her laugh and smile, that comforts her when she is crying...He wants her to need him and to be able to depend and trust in Him. These things shouldn't sound new to us, this is exactly how Jesus wants our relationship to be with Him and more. That jealousy men get when their wife cheats is the same pain and jealousy He has..'Jealousy demanding as the grave' as Jesus Culture put it in their song -You wont relent It. Think about how, if you are a man, you felt about your wife the first day you met or the day you realised she was yours. And if you are a woman, think about the oy you get out of simply knowing he loves you, and that you can depend on him. The love that you share between the two of you is the same love God wants to have with us. We were not meant to live without love, as the Father made us out of love...Hence there are so many love songs and that no matter how many tmes you get hurt, still you want to find love...how amazng is that?
